Congratulations to the Knox United teams who won grand finals last weekend - the Over 35s Division 3 and Mens All Age Division 5.

The Over 35s had an exciting game against Hornsby Heights FC. With 10 minutes to go, the team were 3-1 down. Showing his skill, past Club President Chris Wiseman (OKG06), brought the game 3-2. Then in one of the last kicks of the game, Captain Mark Jennings (OKG95) scored to push the game into extra time. A truly nail-biting game! Playing with the Golden Goal Rule, Kevin Reinert scored the winning goal for a 4-3 finish. With a collective team attitude of never say die, the team showed true club spirit to earn the Grand Final Win!

The Men's All Age Division 5 team started strong against rivals Lindfield FC, dominating from the very first whistle. Exhibiting some great speed, skill and passing combinations, the team never faulted. In a move straight from the training ground, Caleb Allen (OKG20) set the score line early with an in press or header to the top left corner. After earning his 100th club appearance, John McKellar exhibited Messi-style skills, dribbling through six players, then slotting the ball right past the keeper. A final score of 2-0 granted the team back-to-back Grand Final wins, with the aim now to achieve a triple grand final win in 2025!

The Over 35s Division 5 team won their Semi-final, a convincing 3-1 win against Corpus Christi SC. They play St Ives FC in the Grand Final this weekend.
