Seyoon Ragavan (OKG16) received a Best Paper Award at last month's Annual International Cryptology Conference in Santa Barbara, for a research paper titled 'Space-Efficient and Noise-Robust Quantum Factoring.'

Seyoon's paper, co-authored by Vinod Vaikuntanathan, provides improvements to a quantum factoring algorithm developed by the computer scientist and mathematician, Oded Regev. Read the news article from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where Seyoon is doing a PhD in cryptography. The full paper is available on the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) website.
